It's the product of twelve pairs of hands from the Quilts for Cancer bee, each making and sending me one block for the quilt. After weeks of not sewing a single quilt-related stitch, I whipped up TWO quilt tops this past weekend! For now I'll show you the one that took me, start to finish, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday night (cutting included). Yes, I'm a wild one on these cool Friday nights of summer. My 241 Tote Bag

I sewed a bag this weekend! The 241 Tote by Noodlehead (pattern here). Finally something it's cheaper to make yourself than to buy. I think the common misconception among non-sewists is that sewing something yourself is cheaper than buying. For the most part, that's wrong. This might've been true, say, 25 years ago, but not anymore (especially with the rising price of cotton).
