No, I don’t have schizophrenia. I have another disease of the mind: perfectionism bordering on obsessive compulsive disorder.
If you’ve been hanging around my blog for a while, first of all, thank you! Secondly, though, I appreciate your patience as I switched from Blogger to WordPress, then from free WordPress to hosted WordPress. All the while, I’ve also changed my blog design a couple (okay, several) times. Guess what: I’m sticking with this one! The only time you might see it change will be during the Christmas season, because I honestly can think of FEW things more fun than designing a Christmas theme for my blog.
At the end of the day, part of the reason I’ve changed things up so much is that I really love the design aspect of blogging, and sticking to one design meant less time getting to try out fun designs. Unfortunately, however, it also meant that I was spending more nights hanging out in Photoshop and up to my ears in CSS code than at my sewing machine. No bueno! Helloooooo, this is a sewing blog.
Anyway, since this topic is likely insignificant to many, I’ll end with a picture instead of making you suffer through an all-text post (gasp!). Just for fun, here’s an example of one of the designs that almost made the cut:
I like it a lot, but it isn’t colorful enough! It feels more like an interior design blog header than a crafty, quilty blog header. I’m happy with the one I chose instead, and excited to have finally put together the blog design that feels the most like me. I hope you enjoy visiting!
P.S.
Sewing table tutorial is in its final stages. It will be arriving at a Reader near you TOMORROW. Don’t miss it!!
