Binding this quilt has been the extent of my sewing the last few weeks, but I’m so happy it’s finished! As a matter of fact, it’s in the washer right MEOW.
THE STATS:
- Front fabric: Field Study by Anna Maria Horner
- Backing fabric: Loulouthi flannel by Anna Maria Horner
- Batting: Hobbs Heirloom Wool (highly recommend!)
- Binding fabric: Kaufman black yarn-dyed Essex
- Machine pieced and bound by me
- Quilted in infinity loops by the WONDERFUL Susan Santistevan of Modern Prairie Quilting
I serged my quilt’s edges after attaching the binding because the Essex frayed more than usual. I’m glad I did because it cleaned up my edge nicely, making it easier to flip over and sew it to the front of the quilt (plus I feel like my binding is super secure so my quilt can last foreverrr!).

It’s so beautiful! Such lovely fabrics. I read your first paragraph to one of my boys and he laughed. I didn’t know anyone else talked like that. Meow! Too funny

Such a nice finish. But! I’m contrary enough to like the back more than the front. Love the white frame around the patchwork and the teal-y print you chose is so perfect.

How have you been?

Absolutely gorgeous. The back is my fave too. Something about the colors and border. Just awe-inspiring!! I hope this one is for you to love and enjoy!! Let me know if you’re ever ready for commissioned work:)

I am in love with this quilt! I can’t decide if I love the front or back more. You are a talented girl!
