Hi! Happy MID-DECEMBER? I figured I’d better stop in and post pictures of my Thanksgiving table runner before Christmas arrives. It successfully made it through my first hosted Thanksgiving and my brother’s spilling red wine on it (hence the yummy crinkles in the day-after photos–it’s already post-wash!).
I hope you all had a fat and happy Thanksgiving. xo
Jan. 3, 2018 UPDATE: This runner is now available as a pattern for purchase HERE. Enjoy! You can also see the holiday version of this runner here.

That is beautiful, and even lovelier with the crinkles! Your fabric choices and colours are inspired.

Stumbled across this beautiful table runner on Pinterest (of course ;P). It makes me sad when a blogger has so many wonderful comments, but does not answer questions on something they have posted. I wanted to know if there was a pattern out there also and noticing a flying geese pattern in Marta’s design, I googled it…If you look at the width of the runner it appears to be 6 components; the 2 end solid pieces and then 4 flying geese components. 2 each of the print solid print and 2 each of the solid print solid color combination of a flying geese block. If you look at the 3rd block on top row of this link you can see the same pattern. https://www.simplesimonandco.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Whole-Quilt.jpg You only need change your color to 1 solid and a print (like in this post from Marta) AND add the 2 solid strips on each end of end of those 4 panels to get the 6 panels Marta has . Then alternate the fabric for the next row-same print, the third row would be the same color pattern as first row but change your print fabric to a different color print–does this make sense?, I hope)….after looking more closely at the link, the 3rd block top row pattern appears to be made with triangle squares, but personally I would much prefer to paper piece the flying geese pattern and assemble from there. Might be giving this a try to see if my theory is right lol 🙂 Hope this helps anyone who is wondering. Enjoy your adventure!

Hi Shelly! Not to fear—-I respond to each comment via email directly to the person commenting. So all the folks above have heard back from me! Unfortunately I don’t have a pattern for this runner yet but all the past and recent comments have convinced me I need to finally bite the bullet and do the pattern! I started a draft a long time ago that I never made the time to finish. For now all it has are the cutting instructions but those should be helpful to most sewists in getting them what they need to replicate this runner. I’ve emailed it to a few people who have requested a pattern and will email it to you too! Stay tuned in the next couple of months for an actual pattern… Thanks so much! -Marta

Marta, if you do eventually do a pattern for this, I would really enjoy having it. My mother is planning on making me a runner, and I’ve had a hard time finding a design I like. This one manages to be contemporary and traditional, all at once!

Would it be possible to email the cutting instructions? I love the modern vibe to the design and have the perfect fabric! Thanks
